E-Maxx is equipped with sealed electronics that eliminate boundaries and let you drive where you want to drive. E-Maxx lets you blaze new trails through water, mud, snow and other wet-running conditions that wouldn't have been possible before. Since water is no longer the enemy, E-Maxx opens up a whole new world of 4x4 adventure and fun.


Ready For Brushless
E-Maxx is equipped with an all-new transmission that's been engineered to handle nearly 2 times more torque than the original, and yet do it in a more compact package. Extra-wide gears, smart use of steel components, and the Revo-Spec Torque-Control slipper all combine for the strength needed to handle the extreme power and torque that's possible with today's battery and motor technology. The design positions the motors closer to the chassis for a lower cg and improved handling. An optional bolt-in two-speed is available for shift-on-the-fly gearing options. Revo-Spec large diameter sealed driveshafts and sealed differentials are used for massively increased torque handling and long-lasting performance. Since the diffs are completely sealed, they can be fine-tuned with different oil viscosities to adjust the limited-slip action.


16.8-Volt Power System
The Traxxas EVX-2 is optimized to deliver massive power from dual 7-cell battery packs. The EVX-2 packs a serious punch, belting out over 16 volts of power to the twin 550 high-torque motors. Titan 550 motors feature 30% longer motor armatures than a standard 540 size motor for monster big block torque. An internal fan helps keep the motors running at optimal temperatures for maximum power. Mash the throttle for wheelies on demand and absolutely mind-bending monster truck action that only E-Maxx can deliver. Designed by Traxxas, the EVX-2 features three drive profiles, thermal shutdown protection, and Traxxas high-current battery connectors. The EVX-2 also includes our exclusive, patent-pending Training Mode. This profile reduces the overall power output of the EVX-2 by 50% making it easier for young or new drivers to develop their control skills before unleashing full-power operation. Extended Wheelbase, Low CG Chassis
The chassis design is all new with 30mm of increased wheelbase for improved stability. The new battery compartments position the batteries lower, angled in towards the center of the truck for improved handling and cornering stability. The new stronger chassis braces work together with a new center skid plate to greatly enhance chassis strength and torsional rigidity.

Easy, Fast Battery Installation
Traxxas engineers are always looking for ways to make Traxxas products the standard for ease of use. The new snap-lock battery hold downs speed battery installation. Press a lever to release, snap them in to lock. Securing your batteries takes just seconds and there are no clips to lose. The new configurable battery compartments are designed to easily accept either 6 or 7-cell battery packs and are scaleable to fit today's battery technology and beyond. Precision metric hex hardware is used through the E-Maxx for easy servicing and a high-tech look.

Dual Servo Steering System

Traxxas High-Current Connectors
The EVX-2 electronic speed control comes equipped with two new Traxxas High-Current Connectors. Designed to handle high-current applications, Traxxas Connectors effortlessly funnel the dual battery's total power to the electronics keeping things running cool and at full capacity.

Twin Titan 550 Motors
Titan 550 motors feature a 30% longer motor armature than a standard 540 size motor for monster big block torque. An internal fan helps keep the motor running at optimal temperatures for maximum power.

Extended Chassis Design
For improved stability and handling characteristics, a new chassis was engineered from the ground up. The new E-Maxx chassis features a 30mm longer wheelbase while offering maximum ground clearance (over 4 inches). The additional chassis length allows the use of flat seven-cell stick battery packs. To keep the handling tight, new angled battery compartments sit low in the chassis for an extremely low center of gravity.

Quick Release Battery Hold Downs
An Industry First! The unique chassis design features innovative quick release battery hold downs that install or remove in seconds without clips or tools. The battery hold downs are reversible for use with stick or side-by-side style battery packs. An optional battery strap is available for use with oversized batteries.

New Chassis Braces with Transmission Skidplate
Heavy-duty chassis braces coupled with an integrated transmission skid plate provide rigid support that protects the center driveline and virtually eliminates power robbing chassis flex.

Heavy-Duty Transmission
More compact and nearly 2 1/2 times stronger than the original E-Maxx transmission, the new single-speed Brushless Ready transmission features an oversized steel idler gear and a Revo-spec Torque-Control slipper clutch to handle the massive torque of high-performance brushless motors. To access spur and pinion gears quickly and easily, a unique two-piece gear cover can be removed and installed with a single hex screw. For additional tuning options an accessory single motor installation kit and two-speed gear sets are available.

Revo-Spec Torque-Control Slipper Clutch
The Torque-Control slipper clutch uses special semi-metallic friction material and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement you can count on, lap after lap. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment. A center ball bearing maintains precise, long-lasting alignment with near friction-free running and virtually zero maintenance. Originally developed for Revo, the Torque-Control slipper is more than tough enough for E-Maxx. Only Traxxas has it!


Revo-Spec Drivetrain
Building on the durability of the reliable and incredibly tough Revo drivetrain, E-Maxx incorporates sealed super-duty driveshafts and sealed pivot ball suspension. Heavy-duty axle carriers use large diameter rubber-sealed bearings for ultra-smooth running.

Sealed Revo-Spec Differentials
New Maxx differential housings feature tunable sealed differentials with Revo internals for maximum tuning ability. Precision sealed with Traxxas X-ring silicone seals, E-Maxx differentials are designed for long-lasting performance and the ability to tune for specific running conditions. Built to handle extreme torque and power, these differentials offer unmatched versatility and toughness.

Dual Water-Proof Steering Servos
Water-proof steering servos (#2056) use O-ring seals to keep the fun going when things get wet. The dual high-torque servos provide the muscle needed to turn the giant 3.8" Maxx Chevron tires with incredible precision and speed.

Sealed Watertight Receiver Box
A ground-breaking new weather-sealed receiver box is another Traxxas innovation that puts E-Maxx in a league of its own. The antenna and servo wires route neatly a special watertight seal (patent-pending). To protect the receiver from dust and water a custom shaped blue O-ring seals the receiver box. Thanks to the unique design, the receiver can be removed for service and even aftermarket receivers can be used, without losing the sealing properties of the box.

Four Channel Micro Receiver
A new four channel Traxxas micro receiver gives you additional room to grow! The 4-channel micro receiver features two steering servo ports, eliminating the need for a Y-harness.

Powerful Steering System

The integrated servo saver and smooth ball bearings combine with the dual-servo muscle to deliver the most powerful and precise Maxx steering system ever.

Soft Compound 3.8" Chevron Tires
Pre-glued to 3.8" Mirror-Chrome Split-Spoke wheels, the soft compound Maxx chevron tires are designed to maximize performance for all-terrain traction. On dirt the chevron tread pattern claws for traction providing superior forward bite and massive roosts, and on pavement the forgiving side grip allows the tire to power-slide while maintaining a sure-footed neutral feel.

Double-Shear Captured Linkages
E-Maxx features 100% double-shear connections to all steering and toe linkages to capture and secure all rod ends for unmatched durability. A thick tie-bar on the rear toe links further increases the double sheer strength.

That Famous Maxx Suspension
E-Maxx continues the Maxx tradition with its incredible WideMaxx 4-wheel independent suspension. Wicked long travel, nearly 4 inches at each wheel, is ready to take on just about the roughest terrain you can imagine. Eight oil-filled shocks (two at each wheel) deliver that plush feel and 'bottomless' suspension travel the Maxx series trucks are famous for. The WideMaxx is fully tuneable for the track or extreme bashing with up to 10 shock-mounting positions, adjustable front caster angle, front and rear toe, and front and rear camber angles.

Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks
Traxxas oil-filled Ultra Shocks are fully tuneable for race-inspired performance. The spring pre-load is adjustable via precise clip-on spacers making it easy to know that each shock is adjusted to the same spec. Rubber pressure bladders prevent air pockets and foaming common with bladderless designs. Double O-ring seals in the shock body keep shock oil in and air out for consistent performance pack after pack.

Tough Composite Components
Improved body mounts, universal Maxx differential housings, strengthened gray composite chassis, and steel reinforced bulkheads increase durability for hardcore bashing.

Hex Hardware
Pro-quality, high-grade, metric hex-drive hardware is used throughout for extra strength and easy maintenance and repair. The black-oxide rust-resistant finish provides a high tech look and feel.

Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings
Precision rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dirt and nitro environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.

ProGraphix Bodies
The new extended wheelbase E-Maxx body comes fully trimmed and painted. Decals are also applied to save time and get you driving just minutes out of the box. Traxxas' ProGraphix bodies are the hottest looking bodies around and are only available on Traxxas Ready-to-Race models. Available in red, blue, black, and white.

Over 4" Inches of Center Ground Clearance
The unique E-Maxx chassis design offers maximum center ground clearance (over 4 inches) to eliminate the high-centering and chassis dragging that plague flat-chassis monster trucks. Plus it maintains that tall, authentic monster truck look.

TQ Radio System
The included TQ radio system includes a high-power transmitter with a specially designed comfort grip, a precise high-torque steering servo, and a compact receiver for up to a quarter-mile range. The perfectly balanced TQ transmitter features servo reversing, a low battery indicator, electronic trim control, and it is digitally proportional for precise steering and throttle control.
